ABOUT THE MISSION:
AMTC Paul Eldon Ledbetter, 68, a retired Chief Petty Officer, USCG and a Vietnam Combat Veteran of the USMC, died on 13 October 2019 at his residence in Camden, NC. He joined the USCG after his service in the USMC and went on to proudly serve this Nation for 30 years. Among his many awards and commendations are a Vietnam Campaign Medal w/device; National Defense Medal w/gold star; Vietnam Service Medal w/1star; Special Operations Cross Medal; Combat Action Ribbon; and Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation; to name just a few. He served as the Commander, American Legion Post 531 and as a District Commander for the American Legion. In addition he was a Charter Member of the American Legion Riders Post 531 and also a proud Patriot Guard Rider who stood many a flag-line for our veterans. He is survived by his wife Paula Bishop Ledbetter and a large and loving family. He is deeply missed. CPO Ledbetter is to be interred on the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery on March 3rd, 2020 at approximately
11:00 AM from the Administration Building. PGR has been invited to attend the services and we will be there to stand tall, silent and proud in Honor of this US Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer and USMC Vietnam Combat Veteran, his friends and comrades at arms.
