Paul A Manik

Honor Mission
Paul A Manik, POW/MIA, Veteran
USA – WWII
Holly, Michigan – 08-06-19

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Paul A Manik has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to stand a silent flag line to honor Paul’s service to our country. Paul Manik proudly served his country in the Army during World War II and was captured, becoming a POW for 9 months in Germany. He was transferred to three different POW camps, the first one being Stalag 22A in Limburg, number 2 was Stalag 3A in Lukenwalde and the third one Stalag 11a in Altongranola where he ultimately escaped with his best friend who he was captured with. After returning home he became a bronze star recipient securing a job with Kroger and Twin Pines Dairy where he retired. His hobbies include gardening and going to the Symphony. His pride and joy was a hybrid maple tree he started to grow 15 years ago and he enjoyed classical music. Paul is preceded in death by his wife Rose, and he will be missed by many.
