DESCRIPTION:Honor Mission\nPatrick “Pat” William Zumwalt\, Veteran\nUSN\, USNR – Vietnam\nMontgomery City\, Missouri – 05-11-21\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nThe Family of Patrick “Pat” William Zumwalt\, 66\, of Montgomery City\, MO.\, has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to stand in honor and escort their loved one to his final resting place. Mr. Zumwalt proudly served his country with the U S Navy from Feb. 19\, 1974 to Feb. 17\, 1978 during the Vietnam War. He served aboard the USS Hancock (CV-19) Aircraft Carrier. His time overseas was 2 years 11 months 3 days. Mr. Zumwalt obtained the rank of E-5\, Petty Officer 2nd Class. He then went into the U S Navy Reserves until Feb. 6\, 1980. Awards received was the National Defense Service Medal\, Navy Unit Commendation\, Meritorious Unit Commendation\, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (2 Awards) Good Conduct Medal. His training included Electronics -Mechanics\, NR-10 /5C\, Air Conditioning Course\, Collateral Duty Inspector Course\, Aviation Firefighting School\, AFUN School Class “P” TK2\, AV class “A” School\, Basic E & E Class “P” School\, F/RF-8 ECM (Shoehorn) “A” School\, Organizational Maint. Course\, Comm/Nav/EW System Maint. Course\, and F-14 Wire & Connector Repair Course.
