DESCRIPTION:Patrick John Ciampo\, 97\nUSAAF WWII Veteran\nRiverside\, CA\n06 JUN 2016\n\n\n\nThe family of Patrick Ciampo has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor their hero for his service and sacrifice to his country. We are honored to do so. \nPatrick served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.  Among his duties during his distinguished service was serving as one of the ground crew supporting then Captain Chuck Yeager.   Patrick’s rank at the time of his discharge was Tech Sergeant. \nIn his civilian life Patrick was the owner and operator of five family restaurants in the Boston area.   In 1979 he retired to California to be near his daughter and family.  He was preceded in death by his wife of forty years and one son.  Surviving are a daughter and a son\, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. \nNOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.
