Otto Martin William Neilson, III, Retired
Cheltenham, Maryland – 05-18-21
ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard Riders will honor Otto Martin “Bill” Neilson, III, of Sunderland, MD, by standing a silent flag-line during his interment service. Mr. Neilson passed away on April 29, 2021 in the MD Masonic Home, Cockeysville, MD. He was 85 years old, and served as a Radio Operator in the Army. After his discharge, he went on to have a successful career with the Washington Metropolitan Police Department, retiring from the Special Operations Division (SOD). After his retirement he became head of security at Zayre’s and Hutzler’s Department Stores and started his own Private Investigations firm O.M. Neilson. It can be said he loved ham radios, trains and airplanes, but none surpassed the love he had for his family. He is survived by his wife, Jenny and a large and loving family. He is sorely missed by all who knew him.
