ABOUT THE MISSION:
Oscar Metcalf served in the United States Navy from 1968 until 1974, completing three tours in Vietnam.
A ceremony will be held at the Veterans Day service at Veterans Memorial Plaza in Shelbyville, where a presentation will be made in his honor. This presentation will include a Quilt of Valor, an Orange Heart Medal, and a USS America Zippo lighter. William was scheduled to participate in the recently postponed Honor Flight of Middle Tennessee and the presentation will include an Honor Flight commemorative coin.
