AFTER ACTION REPORT: SSgt Orville Rex Cook, Jr, USAF Vietnam Veteran, Sapulpa, OK

Thursday, 25 July 2019 was a warm sunny Oklahoma day. The PGR staged and briefed at First Baptist Church to flags that had been posted across the front. Following the briefing a Moment of Silence was given followed by a prayer. The PGR manned the doors and a Flag Line was formed welcoming family and friends. When the service began all of the flags were retrieved and prepared for the next mission. At the conclusion of the service the USAF Honor Guard and the PGR entered the church. The Honor Guard played Taps, folded and presented the flag to Mrs. Cook. The PGR came forward, thanked the family, read and presented the plaque and the Invocation Letter to Mrs. Cook. A Final Salute was given and participated in by all in attendance. The PGR exited the church and formed a Respect Line as SSgt Cook was moved from the church to the coach. The PGR was then dismissed.

Thank you, to the Cook family for inviting the PGR to be a part of this service honoring this Hero. Thank you to the PGR riders who took time out of their day to “Stand and Honor” this Hero.

“Rest in Peace” SSgt Orville Rex Cook, USAF Vietnam Veteran, your mission is complete, you are gone, but your service to this Great Nation will never be forgotten.

Respectfully submitted:
