This event is a 5K race in memoriam of Stephen “Doc” Johnson, a local medic from 1/158 INF NG who we lost on March 15, 2019. His Mother Caitlin also a veteran, helped organize the race. This race is to bring awareness to the veteran suicide crisis that we face. We aim to bring hope and show there is another option. We lost Stephen “Doc” Johnson and we hope to keep bringing the 22/day number down.Stephen ‘Doc’ Johnson was born on December 2, 1996 in Germany. His family relocated to Arizona and he graduated from Sandra Day O’Connor High School in 2015. He joined the Arizona Army National Guard in 2015 where he became a combat medic and licensed EMT
