Operation Handshake – Flint/Bishop Airport Flint, Michigan
Flint, Michigan – 11-25-19
ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard Riders will once again assemble this year at Flint Bishop Airport to participate in Thanksgiving Operation Handshake and welcome home our Servicemen and Women, along with our Veterans.
We acknowledge and honor them all for their service to our country and look forward to reaching out to them with a hearty thank you for all they do and have done for us.
Please plan on joining us during the day sometime to partake in and enjoy this annual tradition. Come when you can and stay as long as you’d like.
In the past, munchies and goodies have been graciously supplied by some of you for all to enjoy. In the past, we have had almost too many snacks and goodies, so please don’t overdue it, as we want to avoid waste at the end of the day. More is not necessarily better. There is a food bar on-site as well.
Also, once the flag line is up and people who come off the planes start entering the Main Terminal thru the sliding glass doors, it is most important that we DO NOT step out in front of them in our desire to find out if they are Veterans or not. We cannot interfere with the free movement of all of the passengers who are eager to meet their families and/or be on their way to their next destination.
Please be respectful of all who pass thru these doors.
Please cooperate with the Ride Captains as they monitor and enforce this airport requirement.
