DESCRIPTION:HOTH Mission \nOperation Grateful Nation Escort\nMULTI-CITY\, Mississippi – 24 Mar 2018\n\n\n[HR][/HR]\nABOUT THE MISSION: \n\nIn November 2017\, the City of Tupelo dedicated a permanent Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial located at Veterans’ Park.   The memorial is a scaled replica of the Maya Lin designed monument on the Mall in Washington\, DC.   The Tupelo Wall is etched with the names of the 58\,318 killed or still missing from the Vietnam War and is 60 percent in size of The Wall.  Made of granite\, the walls of the memorial span 290 feet\, forming a wide angle in the center. \nSaturday\, 24 March\, the G. V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center is taking 50 Vietnam veterans to see the memorial and tour the park.  The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to escort the veterans to and from Tupelo.   We are honored to be a part of this event. \nSchedule of Events\n7:00 a.m.    Veterans who are pre-registered for the trip sign in\n7:30 a.m.    Director’s Welcome\n7:50 a.m.    Veterans board the bus\n8:00 a.m.    Depart Medical Center\n12:00 p.m.    Arrive at Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Wall\n12:05 p.m.    Welcome\n12:15 p.m.    Veterans visit the Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Wall\n1:30 p.m.    Lunch provided by Auxiliary of VFW Post 4057 (PGR included)\n2:15 p.m.     Veterans board the bus\n6:15 p.m.    Arrive at Medical Center \nAll times from arrival at Veterans’ Park to Medical Center are approximate. \n\n\nPRIMARY STAGING DETAILS:  24 Mar 2018\nPrimary Staging Time: 7:00 a.m. \n\nG.
