Dear PGR Members,
The family of Jimmy “Fergie” Ferguson has requested that the Patriot Guard stand in honor of their loved one. “Fergie” as he is affectionately known passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016, after a long battle with cancer. Even during his illness, Fergie attended many missions in his truck as an escort. His love for the Patriot Guard was unquestioned. His being with his brothers and sisters meant everything to him.
Fergie served in Army National Guard early in his life before becoming a Police Officer with the Bay Minette, Alabama Police Department. He was also a dog handler for the department for many years. His K9 dog, Stoney, is buried on his property in Bay Minette.
Now it’s our turn to stand for him!! His wife has requested that we provide pall bearers for Fergie at his interment at Norris Funeral Home and Guys Chapel Cemetery. All of us that have white long sleeve PGR shirts please wear them. Those that don’t, please wear a white shirt.
