ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of United States Marine Private First Class Nicholas J. Gojmerac has requested that the Patriot Guard Riders escort their loved one and stand a flag line in his honor. PFC Gojmerac was involved in an attack at Bairoko Harbor, New Georgia, Solomon Islands in the South Pacific in 1943. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, Purple Heart, World War II Victory Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Asia Pacific Campaign Medal w/ Bronze Service Star, Good Conduct Medal, Pistol and Rifle Sharpshooter Badge. He was a member of the 1st Marine Raider Regiment.

We stand with feet planted firmly on rich soil knowing what freedom is. Because of our veterans, I am free to honor God and country without persecution. Where there is injustice, I am free to fight. Where there is silence, I am free to speak. Where there is hate, I am free to love.

On behalf of the family I want to say THANK YOU to the men and women of the Patriot Guard Riders. We had four generations in attendance to bring Nicholas home after 75 years MIA. Words cannot express how humble and honored we felt as you escorted us this week. This was a true display of Honor, Integrity and Respect. Thank You
