Gojmerac has requested that the Patriot Guard Riders escort their loved one and stand a flag line in his honor.  PFC Gojmerac was involved in an attack at Bairoko Harbor\, New Georgia\, Solomon Islands in the South Pacific in 1943.  He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross\, Purple Heart\, World War II Victory Medal\, Combat Action Ribbon\, Asia Pacific Campaign Medal w/ Bronze Service Star\, Good Conduct Medal\, Pistol and Rifle Sharpshooter Badge.
