ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard Riders are privileged to be invited by Nebraska Law Enforcement Memorial Committee to participate in the Ceremonial Service at the Nebraska Law Enforcement Memorial Park in Grand Island, Nebraska on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 10:00 am. The Law Enforcement Memorial Park is just East of South Locust Street on State Fair Blvd. near the Fonner Park entrance.
Governor Pete Ricketts and State Attorney General Doug Peterson will appear as guest key-note speakers and Lincoln Police Chief Brian Jackson and Nebraska State Patrol Colonel John Bolduc will speak as they reflect on their public service and honor the fallen members of their agencies.
Refreshments & social time will be 9:00 am with the ceremony starting at 10:00 am.
This year we will be adding two names to the memorial wall, one from 2019 and one from 2020. Nebraska State Patrol Trooper Jerry L. Smith Jr. died June 20, 2019 as the result of injuries he sustained in a car accident in Morrill County, Nebraska. Lincoln Police Department Investigator Luis “Mario” Herrera died September 7th, 2020 after being shot in the chest by a fleeing fugitive on August 26th, 2020.
The Patriot Guard Riders in Nebraska proudly enjoy an excellent mutual support relationship with all Law Enforcement agencies throughout the entire state..

Safety being paramount – ride only if conditions permit. The Patriot Guard Riders have been recognized by the National Safety Council and the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety for adhering to and promoting motorcycle safety.
