The Family of RONALD W. EDWARDS has respectfully requested the Patriot Guard Riders assist with the services of their loved one by Stand a Tall and Silent Flag Line of Honor and Respect, and escorting him to his final place of rest.
Ronald W. Edwards served his country with Honor in the U.S. Air Force for over 21 years from May 1952 til July 1993. While serving Ronald earned the Rank of Master Sergeant and served tours in Vietnam and Desert Storm.
Master Sgt. Edwards was awarded the following Medals, Commendations, and Ribbons.
Air Force Commendation w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon w/4 Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon w/1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Training Ribbon, Air Force NCO Professional Military Education Graduate Ribbon, Combat Readiness Medal, National Defense Service Medal w/1 Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, and the U.S. Air Force Good Conduct Medal.
Upon completion of his military career Master Sgt. Edwards worked for the United States Postal Service for over 20 years. He was also a Life Scout and was Honored by the Order of the Arrow in Scouting. Master Sgt. Edwards was also a past member of the V.F.W. in Bellevue, Nebraska.
Master Sgt. Edwards leaves his Wife, Three Children, Four Grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
