Dress for the weather, bring a beverage for hydration, and ensure your bike flags are properly placed and securely attached.

Mission Narrative from the Obituary:
Kenneth P. “Kenny” DeVole, of Sanborn, who served for 34 years with the New York Air National Guard, died Wednesday in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst, after a battle with cancer. He was 55.

He started his military career with the Army in 1978, then enlisted in the Air National Guard 107th Airlift Wing in Niagara Falls. A vehicle operator and a mechanic, he was deployed to Operation Southern Watch in Saudi Arabia and Operation Enduring Freedom in Iraq and attained the rank of master sergeant.

Mr. DeVole was a life member of the Sanborn Fire Company and was a past assistant chief. He also was a life member of the Tri-Community Ambulance Service, where he served as president for 10 years.
