The family of Clarence J. Davis, Sr., US Army, Vietnam Veteran, has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to stand for their Hero, and it will be our Honor to do so.
Mr. Davis was born and raised in Hemingway SC. After finishing school he joined the Army, where he served 29 years earning the rank of Master Sergeant. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, The Good Conduct Medal, Army Occupation-Germany Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Bronze Star, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry and the Combat Infantry Badge (CIB).
After retiring from the Army “CJ” worked at Richland County Detention Center, the Sheriff’s Department and Family Court.
He leaves behind Ruby, his wife of 59 years, 5 Children, 7 Grand Children,4 Great Grand Children and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be at 11:00 am Monday, September 12, 2016 at

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Columbia.

BRIEFING: 0945 (9:45 AM)
PART ONE EXECUTION: Upon completion of briefing we will establish Flag Line until start of service at 11:00 AM at which time we will stand down and await end of service, when we will establish an Honor Line at the hearse to render Honors as MSG Davis is placed in the hearse.
PART 2 – ESCORT
PART 2 EXECUTION: We will have the honor to perform escort under LEO to Greenlawn Cemetery where we will establish a Flag Line for the interment service.
FLAGS AND WATER WILL BE FURNISHED.
