Mortgage-free Home Groundbreaking, Veteran

ABOUT THE MISSION:

“Operation Finally Home” has invited the Patriot Guard to participate in this ground-breaking ceremony for a mortgage-free home. They are a non-profit organization providing homes and home modifications to wounded veterans and their families. They requested I not name the honoree since his name has not been formally announced and he will be surprised during this special groundbreaking ceremony. The honoree is a USMC veteran who served two tours in Iraq, participated in Operation Katrina Relief and served one tour in Afghanistan where he suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in combat and was medically retired after almost 9 years of service. He also suffers from PTSD and neck, back, shoulder and knee injuries. Among his many awards are the Purple Heart, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Combat “V” and the Combat Action Ribbon in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
