9/11 Morning of Remembrance

ABOUT THE MISSION:
A morning of remembrance. We remember them. We always will. The 50+ names of our fallen Military and First Responders on the memorial at the Columbia Convention Center.
We have been there each year on Patriot’s Day to remember them and we will again this year to remember the exact times of those horrible events of the day.

We will meet at the Richland County American Legion Post 6 for the briefing and to get our big flags flying, then we will take a back way into the convention center to avoid traffic. They will hear the rumble in downtown Columbia as we pull into the convention center to a special parking area. We will establish a flag line at the First Responder’s Remembrance Memorial to honor the fallen heroes and comfort and assist the families as needed.
The families will arrive at 8:00 AM. The ceremony begins at 8:40 AM and will last approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
Please stay for the entire ceremony so that we do not start motorcycles during the ceremony.
Parking for cars and trucks will be in the Hampton Inn Parking Lot next door.
