DESCRIPTION:Patriot Guard: \nThis is the final Itinerary for the Patriot Guard Mission to honor 1st Lt. Simon Cox\, Jr. who gave his all in Taji\, Iraq\, on Feb. 2\, 2006. It is a go; all contacts have been made. Services are Saturday\, February 11\, 2006 at 1400 hrs at the Restland Funeral Home & Cemetery\, Dallas\, Texas 13005 Greenville Ave. Interment\, with full military honor\, will follow at the adjoining cemetery. \nRide Captains: Your Ride Captains for this mission are David A David (Double D) and ER Stroud (Wingman). If you have any questions\, please contact Double D at 214-384-3438 or Wingman at 214-499-0123 \nWeather: The current weather forecast for Dallas is sunny\, very windy and cold with a high of 48 degrees. Dress comfy and warm\, preferably in layers; Iron Horses if you can. Bring flag poles & flags if you’ve got them; flags on bikes would be great\, but if you’re in a cage\, bring your big flags and any extras that you may have. \nStaging Site & Time: From 1300 -1330 hrs at Al Lambs Honda at 9311 LBJ Freeway (I-635)\, Dallas\, TX. Al Lamb’s is located just east of Highway 75 in the southeast corner of the intersection of I-635 and Greenville Ave (Exit 18A). \nDeparture: The departure time (KSU) from the staging area to the funeral home is 1330 hrs. All bikes will present a uniform appearance as we ride the short half mile distance from the staging area to Restland Cemetery in a staggered formation. Anyone not able to stage at Al Lamb’s should meet at Restland Funeral Home & Cemetery. Restland is located one half mile north of the staging area in the northwest corner of Greenville and Restland Road/Walnut Street. Simon T. Cox\, Jr.\, 30\, of Texas\, died in Taji\, Iraq\, on Feb. 2\, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his M2A3 Bradley. Cox was assigned to the Army’s 1st Battalion\, 66th Armored Regiment\, 1st Brigade Combat Team\, 4th Infantry Division\, Fort Hood\, Texas.
