SUMMARY:Milton Merklin\, USA
DESCRIPTION:PFC Milton Merklin\nU.S. Army WW II Veteran\nStreamwood\, IL\n29 JUL 16\n\n\nPFC Merklin served in the U.S. Army during WWII in France for 3 ½ years. He was on Normandy Beach\, June 8\,1944\, D-Day plus 3\,It was military shorthand for the date one landed in Normandy. After the first wave of troops came ashore\, thousands and thousands more followed\, each man well aware of the sacrifices his comrades had made on June 6. The physical evidence was inescapable\, but the sense of mission never diminished\, no matter how long afterwards your ship pulled in and you stepped onto French soil.\n\nHe was an avid Cubs fan and loved his family. Milton’s family has asked the presence of The Patriot Guard to honor him during his visitation and funeral service. Military and Patriot Guard honors will be rendered at that time.\n\nLOCATION:\nCountryside Funeral Home and Crematory \n1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Road)\nStreamwood\, IL\n\nSTAGE and BRIEF:\n1700hrs 5:00pm \nSRC: bigDave 312 405-2692
