Milton L. Sharp spent one year and eleven months in the United States Army. Of that total time, one year, five months and nine days were spent in Korea and as a result of that, he was awarded the Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Stars; the United Nations Service Medal; three Meritorious Unit Citations; the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
