ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of U.S. Army SP4 (P) Michael P. Palo has asked Patriot Guard Riders to participate in his funeral services.Specialist Palo faithfully and honorably executed his duties to our nation from the time of his enlistment on 9 July 1968 until his honorable discharge on 8 July 1970. He served one year in Vietnam, 18 December 1968 through 17 December 1969. He was an Equipment Storage Specialist (76V20.)For his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device, Two Overseas Bars, and Sharpshooter (Rifle). He then went on to serve another four years in the U.S. Army Reserve until 8 July 1974.Mike was a founding member and past President of Rolling Thunder, New York, Chapter 1. His dedication to Veterans’ Issues, especially the POW/MIA issue, was strong and unrelenting. He was a friend and mentor to many.Please be sure to come out to stand for this great patriot and with his family.
