Mike proudly and bravely served our nation in the U.S. Army as a Helicopter Crew Chief\, Door Gunner in the Vietnam War. After the war he became a shop teacher at Oak Grove High School for many years\, sharing his knowledge and wisdom with his students. Mike called them “his kids”\, endearing himself to future generations who now mourn his loss. He was an invaluable asset to the Arkansas Patriot Guard Riders\, always ready for missions regardless of conditions or distance. Mike was an extraordinary story teller\, sharing his life with everyone. We are deeply humbled and honored to receive the invitation to stand in Honor of SP5 Mike Aeilts service. Survived by his wife\, mother\, two sons\, daughter\, two grandchildren\, other family\, and his Patriot Guard Riders family.
