The family of Michael “Mac” McNew has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders to stand in honor of their loved one, as always we of the Patriot Guard will be honored to do so.
Michael was born in Twin Falls Idaho on July 18th 1948 and passed away on August 7th 2016. Michael was the son of the late Ralph and Catherine McNew. Michael was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, where he served two tours of duty in the Republic of South Vietnam, where he obtained the rank of Sergeant. Michael served with the 26th Infantry while in country, and was awarded the National Defense Ribbon, Vietnam Service Ribbon, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Gallantry Cross, and two Presidential Unit Citations. Mac loved riding his motorcycles and was a member of the American Legion Post 174 in Irmo, SC. Mac was a loving husband and friend. He is survived by his wife Deborah, two sisters, one brother and several nieces and nephews.

ESCORT INFORMATION: Mr. McNew and his family will be escorted by American Legion Riders from Post 174 and ABATE. Other Riders are invited to participate.
STAGE AT POST 174 BY 11:00 AM. THE ESCORT WILL BE LED BY “IZZY” THE POST 147 RIDERS DIRECTOR. KSU AT 12:15 PM.
