He was Honorably Discharged at the rate of Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Equipment 3 (E3). He earned the National Defense Service Medal\, the Navy Unit Commendation Medal\, the Vietnam Service Medal\, the Armed Forces Expedition Medal (Korea)\, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
