The family of SP4 Michael Anthony George has graciously requested the Patriot Guard Rider’s presence as they show their final respects and lay their loved one to rest.
SP4 George faithfully served his Country in the U.S. Army and among other locations, served tours-of-duty in Afghanistan & Iraq.
Upon completion of his military service, SP4 George received an Honorable Discharge and awarded the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, w/ Campaign Star, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal (4th award), Army Achievement Medal (3rd award), Army Good Conduct Medal (2nd award), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal w/ Campaign Star, Combat Infantry Bade, Ranger Tab, Air Assault Badge and Jump Wings.
SP4 George’s last duty station was with the 4th Battalion, Ft. Benning, GA. and performed duties as a Rigger.
Note: This is a two-part mission.
Part 1 is an escort only (approximately 10 miles) from the Funeral Home to the Cemetery.
Part 2 is a Committal Service at Sarasota National Cemetery.
