ABOUT THE MISSION:
AMH2 Kirk served with Air Transport Squadron Eight (VR-8) stationed at Naval Air Station Moffet Field, California. They provide worldwide logistic support for the Navy. They were operating the old Super Constellation Aircraft and AMH2 Kirk was part of the assigned aircrew. AMH2 Kirk was awarded the Good Conduct Medal.
The Navy Casualty Assistance and Funeral Honors detachment from Navy Region Northwest will provide the Flag Folding and Presentation to his wife, Deborah. Patriot Guard Riders and American Legion Riders will provide a flag line to greet the arriving family and guests. The Marine Corps League will provide the 3 shot volley Rifle Salute and Taps. The American Legion Riders will provide Echo Taps.

11:15 am – RC/SV arrive (there is a 9:35 Edmonds/Kingston Ferry that can get you there timely)
11:30 am – Members arrive, sign in
11:40 am – Mission/ride brief
12:00 pm – KSU
12:30 pm – Flag line in place
1:00 pm – Service begins
1:30 pm – Service concludes, quietly fade away and debrief.
Weather should be in the 70’s and clear, please dress accordingly.
Per current mandates, masks and social distancing will be in force. If you are not able to wear a mask for any reason, out of respect for the family, please do not attend.
