ABOUT THE MISSION:
Michael served in the United States Navy as a corpsman reaching the rank of E-4 petty officer third class. Born in Detroit Michigan he joined the United States Navy in 1966 until 1969, then joined the United States Naval Reserves until 1971, also serving as a corpsman. Michael earned the National Defense service medal, Republic of Vietnam campaign medal, and the Vietnam service medal with two bronze Stars.
