Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders;
We once again will answer the call to stand for another one of our nations heroes. CWO Michael A. Wahlstrom served his country for 22 years while serving two years in the Army Reserve in the middle of his service. CWO Wahlstrom served from 1976 until his retirement in 2000. CWO Wahlstrom served in Bosnia and many other duty stations during his time in service.
CWO Wahlstrom enjoyed hiking, fishing and was a Boy Scout Leader while at Fort Carson, CO., and recently lost his battle to ALS. Our hero received many commendations in his 22 years of service, as follows;
Army Commendation Medal (4th Award), Army Superior Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Award (2nd Award), National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon with Numeral 2, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas service Ribbon (3rd Award), Driver and Mechanic Badge with driver- M Bar, Military Outstanding volunteer Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal and NATO Medal.
This will be a two part mission with a Rolling Honor Guard and Flag Line.
