DESCRIPTION:Major General A.M. “Buddy” Stroud\, Jr.\nRetired NG\nShreveport\, LA\, 07-07-2016 \n\n\nMr. Stroud was born on April  5\, 1927 in Dixie\, Louisiana and passed away on July 1\, 2016. \nHe proudly served in the military for 53 1/2 years\, joining the United  States Army in April 1944 and then joining the National Guard in June of  1947 after serving active duty\, he retired in November of 1997.   General Stroud served in many capacities during his service and received  many citations and medals\, as the family said – to numerous to mention. \nHis was preceded in death by the mother of his children and is survived  by his wife of 21 years\, four sons – four stepdaughters and one stepson.\n\nPRIMARY STAGING INFO – 07-07-2016:  Location:\nForest Park East Cemetery\n3700 St. Vincent Ave.\nShreveport\, LA\n\n Staging Time:    10:15 am. \n  Special Instructions:Staging:  10:15 – 10:45 am.
