NEBRASKA VETERANS MEMORIALIZED
The Patriot Guard Riders are honored to be asked to participate as the first Nebraska Veterans Cemetery is dedicated on Friday, August 13 in Box Butte County near Alliance. It is the intent of the Nebraska Department of Veterans Affairs and the State of Nebraska to provide a final resting place for our Heroes. The sacrifice of our Veterans will be memorialized in a place of dignity, tranquility and honor.

Riders able to help set up the flags are asked to meet at the cemetery Friday morning at 6am. The Cemetery is located 2 miles east and 1 mile South of Alliance.
PUBLIC INVITED
Thousands of people are expected to turn out for Friday’s dedication, which will feature a speech from Gov. Dave Heineman, a community picnic, a dance and airplane rides.
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. — self-guided tours of the cemetery
11 a.m. to noon — dedication ceremony – Gov. Dave Heineman and other dignitaries
1 to 8 p.m. — Veterans Service Outreach at American Legion, bring DD214
2 p.m. — P-51 Mustang Rides
7:30 to 11:30 p.m. — Hangar Dance at Heartland Aviation Hangar
Dusk — Jaycees fireworks tribute to the cemetery at Alliance Airport
