DESCRIPTION:  \nCLARIFICATION ON THIS EVENT: \nThe VFW Service Officer (Jack\nPicciolo) has invited the PGR (with the permission of the father of Capt\nPatriquin) to come prior to the mass (9 am-10 am) and visit the family to pay\ntheir respects. Then immediately after the mass (approximately 1 hour)\, the\nPGR are invited to the reception being held at St Dennis church. The family\ndoes not desire a flag line or escort of any kind. It is basically a thank\nyou PGR from the family. \nSorry for any confusion. \n< < < < < < < SEPARATOR > > > > > > \nDoD Identifies Army Casualties \nThe Department of Defense announced\ntoday the death of two Soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.\nThey died Dec. 6 in Ar Ramadi\,\nIraq\, of injuries sustained when an improvised\nexplosive device detonated near their HMMWV during combat operations. They were\nassigned to the 2nd Battalion\, 3rd Field Artillery Regiment\, 1st Brigade Combat\nTeam\, 1st Armored Division\,\nGiessen\,\nGermany. \nKilled were: \n\nCapt.\nTravis L. Patriquin\, 32\, of\nTexas. \nCapt Patriquin\nwas laid to rest on 15 December 2006 in Rolla\, MO. \nCapt. Patriquin’s parents live in Lockport\, IL and will hold a\nMemorial Mass on Saturday Jan. 6th. Capt. Patriquin graduated from St. Dennis\nGrade School. His brother is a dispatcher at the Will County Sheriff Dept. \nThe Mass will be at 10:00am and Gary Patriquin will receive\nfriends at 9:00am at St. Dennis Church in Lockport. Lockport VFW Post and the\nLockport American Legion will hold a combined brief ceremony after the Mass. \nWe will sponsor a luncheon following the Mass and Ceremony. My\nVFW Post 5788 extends a invitation to all Riders to attend the Mass and\nLuncheon. \nI know you rarely stay after your guard duties but this is\njust a Memorial and we would appreciated allowing us to thank as many as\npossible for their support. \nJack Picciolo Service Officer VFW Post 5788
