CLARIFICATION ON THIS EVENT:

The VFW Service Officer (Jack
Picciolo) has invited the PGR (with the permission of the father of Capt
Patriquin) to come prior to the mass (9 am-10 am) and visit the family to pay
their respects. Then immediately after the mass (approximately 1 hour), the
PGR are invited to the reception being held at St Dennis church. The family
does not desire a flag line or escort of any kind. It is basically a thank
you PGR from the family.

Sorry for any confusion.

The Department of Defense announced
today the death of two Soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
They died Dec. 6 in Ar Ramadi,

explosive device detonated near their HMMWV during combat operations. They were
assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat
Team, 1st Armored Division,

Germany.

Killed were:

Capt.

Texas.

Capt Patriquin

Capt. Patriquin’s parents live in Lockport, IL and will hold a
Memorial Mass on Saturday Jan. 6th. Capt. Patriquin graduated from St. Dennis
Grade School. His brother is a dispatcher at the Will County Sheriff Dept.

The Mass will be at 10:00am and Gary Patriquin will receive
friends at 9:00am at St. Dennis Church in Lockport. Lockport VFW Post and the
Lockport American Legion will hold a combined brief ceremony after the Mass.

We will sponsor a luncheon following the Mass and Ceremony. My
VFW Post 5788 extends a invitation to all Riders to attend the Mass and
Luncheon.

I know you rarely stay after your guard duties but this is
just a Memorial and we would appreciated allowing us to thank as many as
possible for their support.
