DESCRIPTION:Memorial\nMemorial Service – Police K-9 BUZZ\n–\nSouth Lyon\, Michigan – 09-07-19\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nThe Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in Honor of Police K-9 Officer BUZZ. K-9 Officer Buzz – approximately 11 years of age\, had 10 years of service with the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department\, Michigan. K-9 Buzz\, a Chocolate Labrador Retriever\, was born April 06 2008 at Auburn University’s Canine Detection Training Center (AL) and then spent a year in the Auburn Dog Prison Program in Florida. At 14 months old\, he became a member of the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department with partner and friend\, Special Deputy/Forensic K-9 handler Sue Stejskal. The team provided service as a human remains detector (HRD) or cadaver dog team for almost 10 years throughout the Midwest\, US and Ontario\, working on both land and water recoveries and cases. K-9 BUZZ died March 26 of this year.
