Honor Mission for John T. Morrissey

When: June 17th, Tuesday

Where: Wall of Honor, Wasilla. located at mile 35.5 of the Parks Highway

Time: 9:30AM for Rally in Parking Lot.

Please wear proper attire for weather.

Time Memorial Starts: 10:00AM

Memorial Service will be at the Wall of Honor with Full Honors, should last an hour.

Afterwards, the Nephew of Mr. Morrissey, will climb Mt POW/MIA to spread Mr. Morrissey’s ashes.

If you would like to climb with Mr. Morrissey’s Nephew, please let me know.

John T. Morrissey, passed away Sept. 17th 2007. He was an Marine with 3rd Recon Battalion, 3rd Marine Division and a Vietnam Veteran 67-68. Mr. Morrissey is well known as the man who was the fore front of having an Alaskan mountain named after the POW/MIA’s around the world as a living monument. He worked with another friend, for over 20 years until USGS finally allowed on Nov. 11, 1999.

This is the first mission of the day.

You may wear your sunglasses. Please bring a flag if possible.
