PGR was invited to stand a flag line at a service honoring the 599 veterans that are buried at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Oak Harbor. The event was 6 months in the planning and included representatives of all of the Service Organizations in Oak Harbor, many of the Civic Organizations and the ROTC of Oak Harbor. This is an annual event and the organizers were hoping to make this one the biggest and best ever. Riders from several different clubs showed up to create ample members to post an impressive flag line. All flags, national, service and POW/Mia were posted. The flag line was established twenty minutes before the service began and was maintained until the final military fly over, a duration of more than 90 minutes. Members were alerted to the long standing during the mission brief so water and relief was provided throughout. A debrief was held thanking everyone for attending and highlighted the benefit of multiple organizations coming together and reminded that the mission is not over till you get home safe. 9 First timer pins were given out. Lead event organizer, Kelly, was thankful for PGR contribution to the event. The event achieved the organizer goals of being the biggest and best event ever. The mission was plan was executed by RCIT, Ken Rutz under the direction of the RC, Dean Thiem.
