Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders, the family of US NAVY Veteran (WWII) PO3 Curtis Presley has requested the Patriot Guard Riders Stand in Honor of his life and service to our country during his memorial service.

Curtis enlisted in the US NAVY in 1941 and served honorably until his discharge in 1945. Curtis served as a Sonarman aboard the Destroyer, USS Abbot DD-629; his duty was served entirely in the Pacific Theater. Curtis moved to the Cook Washington area in 1960 and was an integral part of the Klickitat Mountain community. He worked for the Bureau of Fish and Wildlife. Curtis’s remains were previously placed in his home city of Doniphan, Missouri. His family has asked we stand to help memorialize him, his 56 years as a Washingtonian and to all who served our Nation from the Columbia River Gorge. May God rest their souls.

(Directions: Turn off Hwy 14 at MP 56 and go uphill 4 miles to Jessup Rd. then left about 3/4 of a mile to Evergreen Community Church in Mill-A, WA.)
