GARDEN OF HEROES CEREMONY 2010
RI STATE HOUSE, 90 SMITH ST.
PROVIDENCE, RI
Saturday, June 19th, 2010 – 11AM
Many of you stood in the cold and rain for hours on end and/or stood on that small hill at the cemetery for a young man you never knew,
you rode in the snow and cold for a young Marine who gave his life in Afghanistan last February.
The 2010 ceremony will see the name of PFC Kyle “Joe” Coutu memorialized on the monument in the garden located on the southwest lawn at the State House.
The garden was originally constructed for the motion picture Amistad. In 2005 it was officially dedicated in honor of the lives lost in the war on terror since 9/11/01.
There are currently 23 names of RI heroes on the monument.
The ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 19th at 11am.
Prior to the ceremony, we’ll do a requested ride-by then form a flag line for the ceremony. A small group will be sent ahead to welcome our Gold Star Families.
Staging: Home Depot, Charles St. Providence, RI
