DESCRIPTION:[FONT=&amp]PATRIOT GUARD RIDERS[/FONT]\n[FONT=&amp]YOUR PRESENCE HAS BEEN REQUESTED – MEMORIAL MISSION[/FONT] \n[FONT=&amp]Patrick Hawkins\, Sergeant[/FONT]\n[FONT=&amp]United States Army[/FONT]\n[FONT=&amp]23 August 2014[/FONT]\n[FONT=&amp]Leavenworth\, Kansas[/FONT]\n\n\n\n[FONT=&amp]The  family of Patrick Hawkins\, US Army\, has requested that the Patriot  Guard Riders attend the dedication of a Battlefield Cross for Sergeant  Hawkins on 23 August 2014 at 1100 hrs. at the Leavenworth Veterans  Memorial in Leavenworth\, Kansas. Sergeant Hawkins was an Army Ranger on  his fourth deployment to Afghanistan when he was killed by an improvised  explosive device while moving to the aid of a wounded Ranger.[/FONT]\n[FONT=&amp]Patrick’s  awards and decorations include: The Ranger Tab\, Combat Infantryman  Badge\, Parachutist Badge\, Expert Rifle Marksman Badge\, Joint Service  Commendation Medal\, Army Achievement Medal\, Army Good Conduct Medal\,  National Defense Service Medal\, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with 2  Campaign Stars\, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal\, Army Service  Ribbon\, Overseas Service Ribbon\, NATO Medal\, and Presidential Unit  Citation. Posthumously\, he was awarded The Bronze Star\, Meritorious  Service Medal and Purple Heart. [/FONT] \n[FONT=&amp]For convenience there will be three staging sites to pick up riders from various locations. \nThe staging locations are:[/FONT] \n[FONT=&amp]McDonald’s @ 1-435 and 87th St.\, Lenexa\, KS[/FONT]\n[FONT=&amp]QuikTrip @ 389 N 130th St. and US-24 E (I-70 and K-7)\, Bonner Springs\, KS[/FONT]\n[FONT=&amp]La Mesa Mexican Restaurant\, 710 N. Main St. Lansing\, KS[/FONT]\n[FONT=&amp]Each Staging Location is on the East side of its respective road.[/FONT]\n[FONT=&amp]We will ride to the dedication site from La Mesa Restaurant together with flags unfurled.
