The students at Civic Memorial High School have again invited the Patriot Guard to take part in a tribute to the Heroes of the tragedies that took place on 9/11, 2001.

A small US Flag will be placed on the football field representing each of the 2977 victims of the terrorist acts that took place on that fateful day in our country’s history. On each of the flags will be a red, blue, or white ribbon with the name of a Hero written on it. The color of the ribbon will signify where each particular Hero lost his or her life in the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, or on the plane that crashed in the Pennsylvania farm field.

We plan to do our part by standing a flag line at the entrance to the stadium area and then assist the VFW Post 1308 Honor Guard as they post the colors for this event.

Please come out and show the students that we appreciate their timeless efforts in putting together this memorial event. We must never forget those that lost their lives, or those that have given their lives since this horrible day 15 years ago.
