Event Navigation
We all know of the tragic events of September 11, 2001 and we know the hurt, pain and complete sorrow felt all around the world, but especially in America.
Since that horrific day, once known infamously as 9/11, another name as been given to mark a day of mourning, healing and remembrance for us here in the US. PATRIOT DAY.
A wonderful group of RI’ers have formed a committee to hold a ceremony each year, in honor of the victims lost, hearts broken and lives changed all around this great Nation. A Patriot Day Remembrance Ceremony.
For the first time, the Patriot Guard Riders have been honored with a request for a flag line in the open-air rotunda (what we all refer to as the Center Memorial Mound, the site of Echo Taps) at the RI Veterans Cemetery. Here, we will hold a line of respect and dignity as we witness homage paid to those lost in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
