Honor Mission
Melvin Williams, Retired

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of AG1 (E-6) Melvin Williams (56) has graciously invited the Patriot Guard to escort him to his final resting place and stand a silent flag line in his honor. AG1 Williams honorably served his country for over 20 years in the United States Navy and earned the following military awards and decorations: Navy Achievement Medal (4), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Navy Good Conduct Award (5), Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (4) National Defense Service Medal, Navy “E” Ribbon (5), NATO Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal (2), and several unit awards. The Patriot Guard will escort AG1 Williams from the Zion Hope Primitive Baptist Church, 201 West Leonard Street, Pensacola, Florida to Barrancas National Cemetery for honors at 2:00 PM.

Special Instructions:

CAUTION: The Naval Air Station requires long sleeve shirts, long trousers, long-fingered gloves, DOT approved helmets, leather footwear covering the ankles, and appropriate eye protection. This attire will always be maintained while riding aboard the base.
1030 am – Briefing for all riders
1230 pm – (Upon completion of first mission) KSU to Zion Hope Primitive Baptist Church

1330 pm – KSU to Barrancas National Cemetery with LEO
1400 pm – Interment at Barrancas National Cemetery – Site A
