Melvin Robert Seckel, 72, USAF /Westminster, SC, 12 June 2016
We, the Patriot Guard Riders, have been invited to stand in honor and recognition of Mr. Melvin Seckel’s service to America . He served 1961-62 in the Air Force where he earned the rank of Airman 1st Class. A1C Seckel helped to maintain and flew aboard KC135 Tankers. These planes were the life blood of the famous B52 long range bombers. In-air refueling kept the B52 flying strategic long range missions.
After service he went on and lived a life to celebrate: worked long hours, raised a fine family and served as Commander of the Westminster American Legion. Melvin Loved to ride his motorcycle, was a life time member of Anderson HOG Association, was once a member of the PATRIOT GUARD RIDERS and rode on many missions in Michigan and some here in SC.

Staging Location: Sandifer Funeral Home , 512 East Main St. Westminster SC 29693
Assemble: 11:00 am
Briefing: 11:15am
EXECUTION: Following the briefing, we will stand up flag with all attendees for the family’s arrival. Then break down for short update brief. We will then re-establish the flagline and maintain it from 12- 4 pm at which time we will depart quietly.
(REMEMBER TO HYDRATE – Temperature expected in the Mid – 90’s)
