ABOUT THE MISSION:

Melton B. ‘Lucky’ Murphy, 72, of Raywood, Texas passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 9, 1946 in Pasadena, Texas to MB Murphy and Alice Pearl Kuykendall Murphy. Lucky worked for over thirty years as an Oil Field engineer at Schlumberger. The last several years, he has worked at Baytown Sand & Clay and Allison Funeral Service. He was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1964. Lucky served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era and has been an active member of the Nolan D. Pickett VFW Post 5621 and Dayton American Legion Post 512.
