ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Maynard Van Eck Jr. has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to stand in honor of his service to our country.
Mr. Van Eck was born 5 JUL 1923 and died in 2004.
Mr. Van Eck was a United States Army World War II Veteran, having served at Okinawa.
After his military service, Mr. Van Eck was a commercial painter and also worked in the HVAC business.
On July 12, 1973, a disastrous fire at the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) destroyed approximately 16-18 million Official Military Personnel Files and Mr. Van Eck’s military awards and commendations are unknown.
He is survived by three daughters and extended family.
