He served with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152 \, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing in Iwakuni\, Japan. SSgt. Flores had served in the United States Marine Corps for 9 years. He was assigned to a KC-130J Hercules Refueler. Staff Sergeant Flores lost his life during a refueling mission accident in Japan. Ssgt. Flores awards included the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal\, The Humanitarian Service Medal.
