ABOUT THE MISSION:

Marvin Christian Harris served in the US Army as a SP4 for 3 years. Awards and commendations include NDSM, Army Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Marksmanship Badge – M16, and an Honorable discharge.  Upon completion of service in the Army he enlisted in the US Navy for 13 years where he served as an AZ2 (Aviation Maintenance Specialist 2nd class) aboard the USS Constellation (CV-64).  His awards and commendations while in the Navy include Meritorious Unit Commendation (3rd), Navy and Marine Corps O/S ribbon, NDSM, Southwest Asia Service Medal (2nd), Sea Service Deployment ribbon (3rd), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, USCG Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy “E” Award, and an Honorable Discharge. It shall be our honor to Escort and stand a silent flag line at his committal service at 1:30 p.m.

Procession Arrival: +/- 1:00 p.m. with LEO.  Allow Lead car to pass parking lot exit and escort hearse and procession to ASVMC.
KSU: As soon as procession arrives
Committal: 1:30 p.m.

Flags and support: Committal storeroom.
Weather: 84 degrees/partly sunny.  Stay hydrated!
