DESCRIPTION:Honor Mission\nMartin Daymond Young\nUSN – WWII\nMULTI-CITY\, Kentucky – 05-13\, 05-15-21\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nNavy Fireman 2nd Class Martin Daymond Young was assigned to the battleship USS Oklahoma\, which was moored at Ford Island\, Pearl Harbor. On December 7\, 1941 the USS Oklahoma sustained multiple torpedo hits\, which caused it to quickly capsize. The attack resulted in the death of 429 crewman including Young. Young’s name is recorded on the Walls of the Missing at the Punchbowl\, along with others who are missing from WWII.
