DESCRIPTION:The family of HM2 Mark Vargas has invited the Patriot Guard to honor their  Hero for his service and sacrifice to his country. It will be our privilege to  do so. \nMark proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman during tours in  Iraq and Afghanistan. He enlisted in 2006 and served in combat attached to  Marine squadrons.  His goal when entering the U.S. Navy was to serve as a  Corpsman and save lives. He was honorably discharged at the rank of HM2. \nHe began this inspiration of wanting to save lives at an early age\, when 16  yrs old\, he and a coworker were delivering newspapers in his hometown of  Ridgecrest when they saw a child was injured in an accident\, they quickly  transported the 3 yr old to the hospital where his life was saved. \nMark grew up in Ridgecrest from the age of 1 yrs old\, and passed away on  August 5\, 2016 just a few days short of his 31st birthday which would have been  August 14. \nHM2 Vargas is survived by his parents\, extended family and numerous  friends. \nThe weather is predicted to be extremely hot\, so stay  hydrated. \nTime Table for Monday 15 Aug 2016: \n0715: Stage @ Holland & Lyons Mortuary\, 216 S. Everyone is  welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.
